Bogart Spins Career-Long 8.0 Innings, Reitz Picks Up Save No. 9

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Former Hatter Austin Bogart continued to produce against his former team, spinning a career-long 8.0 innings as all nine UNF batters tallied at least one hit in UNF baseball's 5-4 win against Stetson (26-22) in game one of a best two-of-three ASUN Divisional Round series Friday, May 21.

The Ospreys (20-21) trailed 3-0 after the top of the first before clawing back with one in the first, one in the fourth and a critical three runs in the sixth.

Righty closer Brandon Reitz spun a spotless ninth to pick up save number nine on the season.

Behind the Line Score

Stetson used two singles, a double and a two-run home run by Eric Foggo to take a 3-0 lead after the first.
Isaiah Byars singled to open the first and came around on an Alex Kachler RBI double into the left field corner.
Abraham Sequera singled to open the third, getting a beneficial hop on a grounder off first base. He eventually was tagged out at home trying to score on a Cade Westbrook single.
UNF cut the deficit to 3-2 after Aidan Sweatt and Justin Holmes tallied a pair of doubles in the fourth.
Stetson got its fourth run in the sixth. Hernen Sardinas doubled to left, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a Foggo sac fly.
UNF took the 5-4 lead in the sixth. Blake Marabell got one run back with a no-doubt home run to left field in the sixth. Aidan Sweatt walked and Ricky Presno doubled before Sweatt scored on a fielder's choice. Byars scored Presno on an RBI groundout.
This time Stetson was thrown out at home in the seventh. Jorge Arenas was thrown out by Byars at home after he tried to advance on a throw to second base on Andrew MacNeil's double.
Bogart spun a scoreless eighth and Brandon Reitz spun a one-two-three ninth for his ninth save.
