Ospreys Score Season High 16 Runs, Finish With a Run-Rule Win in Seven Innings
The Ospreys (15-16) are on a season-best five-game winning streak. Also in the win, graduate student Alex Kachler set the school record for most consecutive at-bats with a hit after making it eight straight.
Kachler went 5-for-5 Sunday against JU before going 3-for-5 today, starting the game off with three straight hits. The Lithia, Fla., native broke the previous record of seven, shared by former Ospreys Wes Weeks, Mac Mackiewitz, Mike Tucker and Travis Martin.

Behind the Line Score
- A leadoff double helped FAMU eventually take a 1-0 lead in the first.Â
- An error, walk and Isaiah Byars single tied things 1-1. Kachler delivered a two-out, two-RBI, single to left for the 3-1 lead in the second.
- FAMU evened the game 3-3 in the fourth thanks to a two-RBI single by Grant Rowell.
- UNF jumped ahead 6-3 in the fourth. Kachler singled, Presno walked and Aidan Sweatt roped a two-RBI double down the left field line. Tanner Clark followed that up with an RBI single up the middle.
- The Ospreys reached double-digit runs with five in the sixth for an 11-3 lead. UNF used two walks, a hit batter, two hits, two errors and a sac fly to open things up.
- FAMU hit a three-run home run to left, cutting its deficit to 11-6 in the seventh.
- UNF tacked on another four runs in the seventh. Blake Marabell, Aidan Sweatt and Caleb Stafford singled to open the frame, with Stafford tallying an RBI. A costly FAMU fielding error, RBI groundout and passed ball ended the game in the bottom of the seventh.
