Behind the Line Score
- An error, two walks and consecutive singles gave FGCU a 3-0 lead in the top of the first.
- UNF jumped in front, 4-3, in the bottom of the first. Two walks were followed by an RBI double over the head of Marc Coffers in centerfield. One pitch later Blake Marabell hit a towering home run off the top of the batting facility in left, plating three.
- FGCU went ahead in the third, 5-4. The Eagles used infield hits, hit-and-run plays and two errors to score a pair.
- UNF tied it 5-5 with a run in the third. Isaiah Byars walked, stole second and took third on a wild throw by FGCU's catcher. A passed ball on a swinging strike scored Byars.
- Both starters settled in, turning in three consecutive scoreless frames.
- Two singles and a throwing error during a rundown on a pickoff resulted in a 6-5 lead for FGCU in the top of the seventh.
- Reliever Tyler Tipton turned in 3.1 scoreless to keep UNF at bay. The Ospreys got one on in the ninth via a infield single by Marabell, although a game-ending double play thwarted the rally.
