JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida split the series with Buffalo, Saturday. The Ospreys won the first game 5-2 and dropped the second game 7-3.

How it Happened
- North Florida pushed one across in the opening frame when Taylor Engman, who singled up the middle, stole second and reached home off a single by Kayla McGory for the 1-0 lead.
- The Bulls answered back in the second inning to even the score, 1-1.Â
- In the fifth, McGory singled, stole second and advanced to third after Shannon Glover singled. McGory scored on a throwing error as North Florida was trying to complete a double steal to give UNF a 2-1 lead.
- The Ospreys added three runs in the bottom of the sixth on hits from Regan Hermeling and Engman. Heremeling brought in Britney Purser who pinch ran for Rebecca Koskey. Engman then singled through the left side, sending Kayla Harper and Brittany Sundermeier home for two runs.
- Buffalo added one more run in the seventh from a Anna Augon double to end the game 5-2.
- Alyssa Dyhr entered in the third and went 2.2 innings with no hits and two strikeouts before Morgan Clausen came in relief. Clausen got the save with three strikeouts in two innings.Â

How it Happened
- The Bulls came out hot in the second game with Alexis Matheney hitting a three-run homer in the first inning.
- North Florida chipped away at Buffalo's lead, scoring two runs in the third inning. Logan Jackson singled to left field and Harper scored the first run. Engman scored the second run off a single from Ashley Goebel.Â
- In the fourth, Buffalo answered back scoring two runs, to stretch their lead 5-2.
- Alicia Peters hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh, making it 7-2.
- McGory smacked a homer to left field in the seventh, but it wasn't enough to come back, ending the game 7-3 in favor of the Bulls.Â
Notes
- Engman and McGory each recorded four hits on the day with 2 RBI, with McGory also notching a homerun.
- Clausen finished with 6.0 innings pitched with five hits and seven strikeouts.
- The Ospreys had 21 hits on the day.Â
