CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Thais Reiss netted her fourth goal in three matches and freshman Amanda Hartmann scored her first career goal to push North Florida women's soccer past the The Citadel, 2-1, Tuesday afternoon.

- North Florida struck early in the contest when Leah Ferlin floated a ball across the box and found the head of Thais Reiss running toward the back post for the 1-0 lead in the 4th minute
- Near the end of the first half, Ari Munoz corner kick service again reached the back post where freshman Amanda Hartmann headed into the net for her first career goal
- The Citadel eventually got on the board in the opening minutes of the second half as Maria Contreras collected a loose ball in the box and slipped it into the net

- Thais Reiss extended her scoring streak to three matches this season with her team leading fourth tally
- Amanda Hartmann scored her first goal on her first career shot and nearly had a second late in the game, but the shot rifled off the post | Her goal proved to be the game winner for UNF
- Ari Munoz collected her first assist of the season and now ranks second on the team with 5 points
- Leah Ferlin picked up her first point of the year with her assist on the Osprey's first goal
- Ospreys used a pair of goalkeepers in the contest with Mercedes Sapp earning the win after keeping a clean sheet for 45 minutes while making a pair of saves | Freshman netminder Rachel Fishkin also finished with two saves

They are going to be a factor in the SoCon this spring. We got off to a great start and then added the important second goal, coming from freshman Amanda Hartmann. Unfortunately, we gave one back and had to ride out the rest of the match to secure the win. I am proud of this group and our 3-0 start to the season. We know we have a great challenge ahead in FGCU Saturday and we will have to deliver a complete performance to get a result on the road."
