Ospreys Win Game Two, 3-1
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF split a doubleheader with the ACC's Boston College (1-2), falling, 2-0, in a pitcher's duel in game one before rebounding with a 3-1 victory in the second game.Â
Freshman Halle Arends spun a complete game and UNF (1-3) put up a three-run fifth in the victory.

- BC struck first on a Jenna Ergle solo home run to left field in the top of the second.
- UNF had a good opportunity thanks to a walk and BC throwing error, but runners were stranded at second and third in the second.
- The Eagles pushed across one more in the third on an error, sac bunt and RBI double to left center.
- North Florida had a good chance in the seventh after Shannon Glover led off with a single and Kayla McGory walked. Paige Pfent lined out to left and Boston College's Susannah Anderson struck out Rebecca Koskey.Â

How it Happened
- BC's Djhane Valido doubled to right center with Kristin Giery on first, although Shannon Glover started a relay that went to Britney Purser and on to Paige Pfent to get Giery at home to close the second.
- Rebecca Koskey hit a no-doubt home run to straightaway left field for the 1-0 lead in the fifth.Â
- With two outs in the fifth, Taylor Engman singled, stole second and scored on a Kayla McGory RBI single to left center. Shannon Glover doubled in McGory to cap a three-run fifth frame.
- Boston College pushed one across in the sixth on a jam shot that found open space in the infield, scoring Kamryn Warmen who reached on a two-out walk.
- Arends retired the final four batters in order for the complete game.

- Arends made her first career start at UNF, recording a complete game.
- Koskey hit her fifth career home run.
- Pfent went 2-for-5 with a walk.
- UNF put up a season-high seven hits.
- It's the second ACC team UNF has defeated in two years.
