FIRST TEE — After posting a Top 5 team finish last week at Timuquana Collegiate, the North Florida men's golf team returns to the links Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 1-2) in the Sea Best Invitational hosted by Jacksonville at the TPC Sawgrass - Dye's Valley Course.

1. LAST TIME OUT: The Ospreys matched the tournament low final round score (9-under 279) and vaulted into a T4 finish at the Timuquana Collegiate with a 54-hole total of 17-under 847 | A trio of UNF linksters were listed among the Top 25 individuals led by freshman Nick Gabrelcik's T4 showing at 8-under 208 including his final round 67 (-5) | Cody Carroll (T12 / 211) and Davis Lee (T24 / 214) joined him among the top players

2. COURSE REPORT: TPC Sawgrass - Dye's Valley Course is a challenging golf track that is one of two courses at TPC Sawgrass with the other being the Stadium Course, the host site of the PGA's Players Championship | The tournament layout fill feature a par 70 over 6,790 yards | North Florida is making its 9th overall and 8th consecutive appearance in the event | UNF has boasted Top 5 finishes in the Sea Best six times including a co-championship in 2014
3. OSPREY LINE-UP (2020-21 stroke average): Nick Infanti (75.00) | Nick Gabrelcik (69.33) | Cody Carroll (70.33) | Robbie Higgins (73.00) | Davis Lee (71.33)... Gabrelcik was named the ASUN Co-Player of the Week for his performance at Timuquana | Junior Grant Sutliff makes his season debut playing as an individual
4. THE FIELDÂ (# indicates current Golfstat Top 100 ranking):Â Participating squads in the 12-team field include: Campbell, Charlotte, College of Charleston, Duke, FGCU, Jacksonville, Liberty, Lipscomb, NC State, North Florida, Toledo, USC Upstate | The Ospreys threesomes will begin play in Monday's 8 a.m. shotgun start on Holes 6 and 7 | The teams will play 36 holes Monday followed by a final round on Tuesday of 18 holes
5. SCHROEDER SAYS...Â
"This event will be a new challenge as we are playing together as a team. In my 15 years of coaching, we have never done this before. It will be a great way for people to watch us in just two groups. Hopefully, we have some fans come out. The weather looks like it will be challenging on Monday and Tuesday, so a score of even par will be a good one."
Coming Up Next - After the Sea Best, North Florida and crosstown rival Jacksonville are scheduled to face off in a match play event on Feb. 8 at Pablo Creek Country Club.
