
Men's Track Sets Records and PR's at South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The North Florida men's track & field wrapped up the season opener with school records and strong performances at the South Carolina Challenge.

Leo Queyrou, Nathan Jubran and Rob Leverone - "These guys really ran well in the mile today. We haven't done a lot of fast work so it was great to see these performances as a tune-up for the ASUN championships. As a whole, they really competed well."
Jared Vazquez - "Jared ran a really smart race, executing his race plan perfectly. He just keeps getting better."
George Escobar - "George had a very great finish and closed very strong to achieve a school record, placing him second in the conference."
Jaasiel Torres - "Jaasiel had another solid jump day, placing third, and is ready to do great things at the conference championships."

- Jaaisel Torres placed third in the high jump, with a mark of 2.03m
ON THE TRACK
- George Escobar set a school record in the 400 m with a time of 48.05, placing eighth overall
- Jared Vazquez (1:51.91) and Timothy Doyle (1:53.05) placed in the top three in the 800 m, placing first and third respectively
- Leo Queyrou (4:08.73) placed second in the mile followed close behind by Nathan Jubran (4:08.91), placing third
