JACKSONVILLE - North Florida wraps up its regular season home slate against Lipscomb Saturday before traveling to Liberty Monday. The Ospreys are celebrating Dasha Eremeeva, Janesha Green, Adrienne Jackson and Victoria Patrick prior to the game.
BOX OUT
The Ospreys rank 17th in the NCAA in defensive rebounds per game, thanks in part to Adrienne Jackson who ranks 15th with 7.3 DRPG. Jackson ranks 35th in the country in total rebounds (244) and 49th in rebounds per game (9.4). She sits in seventh in career caroms with 616 and just behind former UNF Hall of Famer Nancy Miller's 619. Â
ALL GAS, NO BRAKES
Jackson scored her 800th career point against Lipscomb and has the chance to score her 900th if she posts 11 vs. the Bisons.
THREE POINT THREAT
The Ospreys are 32 triples shy of matching the 2015-16 team for single-season makes from long range. UNF ranks first in league-only play in three-point shooting percentage (35.2) and first in rebounds per game (41.1). Overall, North Florida ranks 49th in the nation with a 34.7 clip from long range.
DOUBLE THE FUN
North Florida set the UNF D1 record in double-doubles with a pair from Adrienne Jackson and Jazz Bond at NJIT. This season four players have had double-doubles: Jackson (8), Janesha Green (4), Bond (6) and Dasha Eremeeva (1).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Lipscomb (6-20, 3-10Â ASUN)
- Taylor Clark paces a trio of players averaging double figures as she is chipping in 13.5 ppg, however one of the players is injured and only saw time in six games. Clark is also leading the team with 5.3 rebounds per game. In ASUN play, Clark is putting up 16.2 ppg.
- Jalyn Holcomb is throwing down 12.9 ppg and is the second best distributor on the team with 63 assists to her name.Â
- The Bisons are shooting 38.7 percent from the floor, while opponents are hitting above 40 percent against them.Â
- Lipscomb is coming off a close 68-66 win against NJIT at home which snapped a six-game losing streak.
Liberty (14-11, 7-5Â ASUN)
- The Flames enter the weekend on a two-game win streak and host Stetson Saturday.
- Keyen Green leads the team with 14.1 ppg and 7.8 rebounds. She also has a team-high 19 blocks.Â
- Ashtyn Baker is also averaging double figures with 10.3 ppg and finds her teammates as she owns 87 assists on the season to go with a team-best 41 steals.
- As a team, the Flames are shooting 41.8 percent, but struggle from long range at just a 28.2 percent clip.Â
