JACKSONVILLE -- Despite the challenges of creating a schedule during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 12th edition of North Florida men's basketball under head coach Matthew Driscoll will face another traditionally challenging slate. The ledger is highlighted by 12 games at UNF Arena along with three matchups against ACC teams as well as an SEC opponent.
Season ticket and single game ticket information will be released in the near future. Games at UNF Arena this season will reflect several changes including mobile ticketing, social-distance spacing in arena and seating and a clear bag policy. In addition, ASUN competition will feature back-to-back contests against the same opponent.
The 2020-21 campaign tips off with the Mako Medical Wolfpack Invitational in Raleigh, N.C., on Nov. 25 & 27. The Ospreys face Eastern Kentucky in the event opener, Nov. 25, before facing North Carolina State on the 27th. UNF's three-game span versus ACC members continues Nov. 29 at Miami and Dec. 2 at Florida State. The five game road swing to start the year concludes Nov. 5 at High Point.
The Ospreys welcome FAU to campus, Dec. 7, for the scheduled home debut. A trip to East Carolina (Dec. 10) will be followed by a home tilt vs FIU (Dec. 12) and a cross state trek to Gainesville for a matchup with Florida, Dec. 16. UNF wraps up its non-conference slate with home games versus Flagler (Dec. 19) and Edward Waters (Dec. 21).Â
North Florida starts the New Year and ASUN Conference play Jan. 1 & 2 at Stetson. Kennesaw State (Jan. 8 & 9) serves as the Ospreys league home opener followed by the River City Rumble matchup at Jacksonville's Historic Swisher Gym, Jan. 15 & 16. January closes with a home series against North Alabama (Jan. 29 & 30).
The final month of the regular season finds the Ospreys with road sets at Liberty (Feb. 5 & 6) and Lipscomb (Feb. 19 & 20) while welcoming AUN newcomer Bellarmine (Feb. 12 & 13) and rival FGCU (Feb. 26 & 27) to UNF Arena.

DRISCOLL COMMENTS:
"Our players and staff are elated to have the opportunity to once again defend a regular season title, our 3rd in the last 6 years. The best way to describe our 2020-21 competition would be to call it the same schedule challenges but a different time in our world. Similar to our previous 11 years, we have an incredibly challenging non-conference slate with several Power 5 squads. We also have many quick turnarounds with games at road and home venues. Those different preparations will hopefully benefit us as we play an ASUN regular season with back-to-back games in the same site environment. That format should provide a lot of thought provoking substitutions, schemes, and adjustments unlike any other time in my 34 year career."Â
