Swimming Drops Regular Season Finale at UNC-Asheville

Ospreys Claim First in Three Events
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNF swimming (4-10) had its regular season conclude in the CCSA finale at UNC-Asheville Saturday, with the host Bulldogs (5-4) winning 154-108 January 25.Â
Photo finishes were the theme, with eight first place times being decided by less than one second. All told the Ospreys posted three first place times, triumphing in the 200 medley relay, 100 free and 100 fly.
North Florida claimed a quick lead by opening with a win in the 200 medley relay, although a flurry of close finishes went to the Bulldogs as they pulled ahead. UNF went on to secure two of the last four events.

200 Medley Relay: 1st - Jacqueline Barklund, Zoe Trenz, Esther Quackenbush, Camryn Greenleaf (1:49.46)
100 Free: 1st - Camryn Greenleaf (54.01)
100 Fly: 1st - Sydney Groth (59.54), 2nd - Esther Quackenbush (59.54)
100 Back: 2nd - Jacqueline Barklund (59.79)
100 Breast: 2nd - Julianna Graf (1:09.86)
200 Fly: 2nd - Sydney Groth (2:08.75)
Of Note
-The eight events decided by less than one second came in the: 200 medley relay, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 fly, 50 free, 100 free, 200 back and 200 breast.
-North Florida was second in six of the aforementioned eight events.
-Greenleaf posted her third top finish in the 100 free this season.
-It was Groth's first time touching first in the 100 fly this year.
