LEADERBOARD: All five golfers in the North Florida lineup carded under-par rounds Monday on the opening day of play of the Graeme McDowell Invitational helping push the Ospreys to the top of the leaderboard with a 12-under total of 684.
FIRST TEE
- Freshman Davis Lee ended the day in third place after carding a 3-under 69 in the morning session followed by a 2-under 70 for a 36-hole total of 139
- Sophomore Cody Carroll is tied for 11th at 142 after rounds of 73-69
- Senior Michael Mattiace opened with a 75 before posting a 69 in the afternoon session for a day one total of even-par 14 (T19)
- Sophomore Grant Sutliff had an eight shot improvement between his rounds on day one, carding rounds of 76-68 to sit tied for 19th (144)
- Freshman Drew Angelo rounded out the Osprey lineup with rounds of 71-74 for a 145 (T23)
- Competing as an individual, redshirt junior Michael Saccente is tied for 68th at 154 (82-72)
- North Florida owns a one shot lead on the field heading into Tuesday's final round
- Linus Lo of Western Kentucky and UAB's Ben Reichert share the medalist lead at 6-under 138
