Lydia van Dijk Claims 1500M Bronze Medal at Netherlands Nationals

NETHERLANDS -- North Florida Track & Field freshman Lydia van Dijk carried her strong running performances into the summer, claiming the bronze medal in the 1500m at the national meet of the Netherlands.
An All-ASUN track performer from Haarlem, Netherlands, van Dijk clocked a time of 4:52.48 in the Meisjes Junior A flight to finish third in the finals.
"Lydia completed a very successful year here at UNF in both cross country and track," said UNF head coach Jeff Pigg. "All along our goal was for her to run well at her National Championships as well. It was a great transition year and I expect her to be a force for us in the future."
