HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ospreys bats came alive, outhitting Stetson, 12-2 en route to the shut out.
- North Florida did not waste any time as back-to-back singles from Navia Penrod and Dominica Cocuzza put runners aboard. Tiffany Lower then stroked her own single to bring in Penrod.
- A sac bunt moved the runners before Makenzie Griffin tallied two of her three RBI to bring in Cocuzza and Lower for a 3-0 lead.
- An error and another single from Griffin allowed two more runs to score in the third for a 5-0 advantage.
- In the sixth, Taylor Engman and Megan Woodson each tallied a single for two on. Penrod singled through the left side to bring home Woodson before Cocuzza smacked her first double since March 17 to score the game-ending runs.
- Pitcher Sydney Matzko tossed a phenomenal game, allowing just two hits and six total base runners. The only threat was in the sixth when Stetson had runners on second and third.Â
