COACH JEFF PIGG REMARKS
"Noah (Perkins) had a very nice race in the 10,000m. It was about a 45 second PR and he competed well. The Liberty runner is really good and Noah made a strong effort to race with him. Freshman Nathan Jubran in his 10k debut ran sub 31:00 which is a very nice time and he executed a simple, consistent race plan. These guys gave us a real boost in the team points and had nice races. Anderson Bobo returning from a bad ankle break a year ago completed his comeback today with a great effort in the 10,000m. He has spent so much time crosstraining and doing physical therapy so is was great to see him dig down deep and deliver a strong performance tonight. The steeplechase was a tough event for us today. After winning three years in a row, I'm sure Fynn (Timm) was a little disappointed in finishing third but he has done some nice things during his career here at UNF. Leo (Queyrou) has worked hard this year but appeared a little fatigued tonight in finishing fifth although he competed hard and that is all we expect. Freshman Sean Snyder ran tough finishing his first season having learned a lot about this new event. Bringing home a sixth place finish was certainly a positive way to end the year. Austin Thompson had a very nice freshman year. He had a solid day in the vault clearing 4.76m and also just missed his PR in the long jump placing sixth. He is continuing to improve and has the potential to do some really good things in the future."
