COACH JEFF PIGG REMARKS
"Jade Sullivan ran very well in winning her heat and posting a Top 3 ASUN time in the 400m hurdles. She is a tough competitor and wasn't intimidated by the weather or the tough field of runners. Senior Crystal Liebenberg had a nice race after just two weeks of training, winning her heat in the 400m hurdles and posting the 4th best ASUN time. The two work and compete hard. They really set the tone for us today. Syd Steele continues to impress in the 800m as she placed second overall with nice execution through the finish line. She continues to learn how to race the event and each week makes progress. Jenn Brunson had another PR in the 400m as she continues to get faster. The cold stormy weather didn't slow us down. The team competed very well despite the conditions. They rise to the level of their competition and the meet gave us two days of quality performances. We will head to Florida next week for the Tom Jones Memorial on Friday and Saturday with most of our squad. The seniors will attend graduation at UNF."
