JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - It was a quick affair as North Florida softball snuck past visiting Holy Cross, 3-1, on a chilly night at the UNF Softball Complex.

How it Happened:
- UNF (8-6) tacked a run on in the first thanks to a Crusaders miscue, allowing Navia Penrod to come around and score. She led off the game with a single.
- Pitcher Morgan Blourne kept Holy Cross (1-5) off the bases as she allowed just two runners past second base. She finished the complete game, giving up just three hits, one run, while fanning five.
- In the Osprey side of the third, a ground out to second allowed Rindy Bryant to score after she reached on a single.
- North Florida added one more when Ashley Goebel hit an RBI single to right center, bringing home Dominica Cocuzza for the 3-0 win.
- Holy Cross scored its lone run when Bella Jankowski singled to left center to bring home Jackie Brewster who reached by a hit-by-pitch.
