JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Â Now on a five-match win streak, North Florida women's tennis looks to extend it as it hosts Savannah State and UCONN on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Last Time Out
- The Ospreys brought out the brooms with a clean sweep against the Trojans (4-0) on Sunday, March 10.
- UNF took the doubles point thanks to Rafaela Gomez and Constanza Gorches (6-1) win, and Valentina Mariotto and Ana Paula Melilo (6-2) victory. Â UNF is now 22-11 on the season in doubles play.
- Strong performances from Lucia Montano and Ana Paula Melilo helped the Ospreys win their first three singles matches to push UNF to a 7-2 home record this season.
Fresh Faces
- Melilo has the best singles record on the team with a 15-9 overall mark.
- Gorches, who joined the Ospreys from Clemson, and her doubles teammate Gomez, have been thriving in doubles play. Together the pair has put together a 12-3 team-high record for UNF.
- Freshman Sean Lodzki has also seen her fair share of time on the court with a 3-4 singles record as well as a 1-0 mark in doubles.
Against Our Opponents
- The Ospreys are 3-0 against Savannah State with two wins coming over the past three seasons and a Division ll win over the Tigers back in 2000.
- North Florida took down the Tigers 7-0 and 4-0 in 2017 and 2018.
- This will be the first meeting between the Ospreys and the Huskies.
- UCONN is 0-3 on the road and looking for its first road win at the UNF Tennis complex on Sunday.
Savannah State Tigers
- 2019 Record: 0-1
- 2018 Record: 3-16, 1-4 MEAC Conference
- The match was rescheduled from Feb. 12 to Friday, March 15.
- Savannah State has four returning players and two newcomers compiling their 2019 roster.
UCONN Huskies
- 2019 Record: 3-7
- 2018 Record: 10-11, 0-5 American Conference
- UCONN lost three in a row before winning its last match against Temple (4-3) for the first conference win on the season.
- Freshman Julieanne Bou has a 13-8 record playing at the No. 2/3 position to lead all players. Â
- Gillian Perrotta and Bou lead the way for the Huskies in doubles with a record of 15-8 and 2-0 in the American Athletic Conference at the No.1 spto.
- So far this season, the Huskies have wins against Quinnipiac, Detroit Mercy and Temple, while also falling short against Lipscomb, Michigan State and Memphis.
