The short story:Â Led by sophomore Mindy Herrick's runner-up individual finish No. 68-ranked North Florida women's golf claimed its second tournament title of the season with a wire-to-wire run at the Amelia Island Collegiate hosted by Jacksonville at Amelia National Golf Club.

- Mindy Herrick collected his best career finish and narrowly missed earning her first career medalist crown after posting a final round 75 for a tournament total of 219 | Herrick tied with FGCU's Laura Edmonds but lost on the first hole of a playoff
- Freshman Daniela Gonzalez fired a closing round 73 in her collegiate debut to earn a sixth place finish at 222
- Fellow freshman Liss Davalos (T17 / 227) and junior Sydney Shrader (T19 / 228) both ended the event in the Top 20, carding rounds of 79 and 81, respectively on TuesdayÂ
- Junior Teresa Conroy posted a final round 79 to round out the Osprey lineup with a 29th-place finish (231)

- Ospreys were also the team champion of the Amelia Island Collegiate in 2016
- Herrick nearly became the second consecutive UNF golfer to win the medalist title at Amelia Island after Shrader earned the crown last year
- UNF led the field in both Par 3 (+9 / 3.15 avg) and Par 4 (+34 / 4.23 avg) scoring for the tournament
- North Florida also topped the field in both pars (168) and birdies (32)
