FINISH LINE
THOUGHTS FROM THE TOP
"Overall, it was a very positive day for the women's team. It is obvious to me that they worked hard over the summer and came in prepared for this season. Our leadership is very good, and we have a lot of talented freshmen. Lydia van Dijk and Tina Cesnik ran like how I expected they would, and Audrey Carpenter had a solid opener. I believe as we move to the 5,000 meters distance, our women will run even better with the added distance. Grace Gumpel and Camryn Cooney were able to translate their high school success into their collegiate debuts. Returning from last year's ASUN Championship team, Hannah Evans and Skye Zeller have improved so much and are working hard towards another championship. I was really proud of our entire group, and we had a number of nice performances." – Head coach Jeff Pigg
