Weather Forces Cancellation of Women's Soccer Game vs Manhattan
9/2/2018 5:15:00 PM | Women's Soccer
JACKSONVILLE -- Multiple lightning delays and intermittent rain showers forced the cancellation of Sunday's North Florida women's soccer match against Manhattan at Hodges Stadium.
The two teams completed a half and were five minutes into the second half before the match was finally called. The Ospreys were in front 1-0 following a 25-yard laser shot from Kendra Hoffman in the 15th minute of play. Unfortunately, it is not an official contest until 70 minutes are played.
The Ospreys (2-3-0) will next hit the road for a pair of matches next weekend at Appalachian State (Thursday, Sept. 6) and South Carolina State (Saturday, Sept. 8).
