The Leaderboard: Paced by under-par round performances from juniors Andrew Alligood and Travis Trace, the No. 27-ranked North Florida Men's Golf team posted an even-par 288 and sit in a three-way tie for second after the opening round of play in the NCAA Norman (Okla.) Regional at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.
FIRST TEE
- Andrew Alligood got off to a fast start at the regional carding a pair of birdies thru his first four holes. He closed the day with a team best four birdies en route to his 2-under par 70, which left him T4th in medalist play
- Travis Trace opened and closed his opening nine holes with birdies to join Alligood in a T4th at 2-under 70
- Senior Dillon Woods ended the opening round in the Top 25, shooting a 1-over 73 to rank T21. Woods collected three birdies over his final 13 holes of play after a slow start
- Sophomore Micheal Mattiace shot a 75 to rank T36, while junior Philip Knowles rounded out the Osprey lineup with a 78 (T60)
- North Florida finished the first 18 holes tied with No. 10 Auburn and No. 15 Arkansas at 288, just five shots behind leader No. 3 Oklahoma (283)
