JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida's Frank German matched a career-high with eight shutout innings as the Ospreys defeated USC Upstate, 3-0, on Friday night in ASUN play at Harmon Stadium.
LEADING OFF
- German matched a career-high with eight scoreless innings to get his fifth win of the season. He struck out seven and walked only one Spartan in route to the victory.
- Six different Ospreys got in the hit column with five players registering multi-hit contests.
- Chris Berry and Tanner Murphy paced UNF with a pair of three hit games. Murphy's 14th multi-hit game this season and sixth for Berry.
- Dalton Board, Alex Reynolds and Jay Prather all added two-hit games, while Blake Voyles had a base hit.
- Prather has now reached base in a team-high 16-straight games.
- Voyles and Murphy both extended their hit streaks to eight straight.
- The Ospreys improved to 11-1 when out-hitting opponents this season as they had a 13-4 advantage in the hit column on Friday.

- Back-to-back singles by Voyles and Alex Reynolds put runners on the corners before Prather knocked a single to left to score Voyles and get UNF on the board 1-0.
- In the seventh, Mac Wilson's groundout to first brought in Board to extend the Ospreys lead to 2-0.
- UNF added one more insurance run in the eighth when Raff Libunao's sac fly to center scored Reynolds to give the Ospreys a 3-0 victory.
