Ospreys Fall In Series Finale To Hatters

Jacksonville, Fla. – The North Florida baseball team fell 12-4 in the series finale to Stetson on Sunday afternoon at Harmon Stadium in ASUN play.Â
LEADING OFF
- Dalton Board paced the UNF offense with a pair of base hits on Sunday while seven other Ospreys added hits in the contest including doubles by Tanner Murphy, Chris Matthias and James Fitzpatrick.
- Murphy pushed his team leading average up to .364 with a two run double in the fourth.
- In the fourth inning, Jay Prather extended his reached base streak to 27 games in a row with an RBI single.Â
- Murphy and Chris Berry have now reached base safely in 19 straight games. Â
- Murphy picked up his team leading 10th multi RBI game with his fourth inning double.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNF got on the board first in the fourth with Murphy's two-run double followed by Prather knocking an RBI single to make it 3-0 Ospreys.
- The Hatters though answered quickly as they took advantage of two Osprey errors and scored six times to take a 6-3 lead.Â
- Stetson added three runs in the seventh and ninth innings to finish off the sweep of UNF.
- North Florida did add one more run in the seventh with a Max Law RBI single to make it 9-4 at the time before the Hatters added three in the ninth.

The Ospreys travel to FAMU for a 5 p.m. Wednesday night matchup with the Rattlers before heading down to FGCU next weekend in ASUN play with first pitch on Friday slated for 6:30 p.m.Â
