St. Augustine, Fla.- The North Florida beach volleyball team fell in two matches on Sunday against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and No. 9 South Carolina to conclude the UNF Beach Invitational.Â

- Carolyn Cain and Blaire Register paired at the No. 4 position to pick up a two-set win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The duo sits at 4-1 on the season.Â
- In the No. 5 position, Madilyn McCarty and Nicole DeBolt also grabbed a two-set win against the Islanders.
- The wins against A&M Corpus Christi were the lone of the day.
- In the second match of the day, Chaney Howard and Taryn Griffey along with Courtney Miller and Carina Hoff battled back against the Gamecocks before falling in three sets in a pair of tight matches.Â
- Griffey and Howard were selected to the all-tournament team after they finished with a 2-2 record on the weekend.Â

"We played three teams in the top 16 and a fourth team that was tough as well. It was a good opportunity to test the waters early and see where we are at as a team. We have been taking teams to three and dropping nail biters and we are going to learn on how to come through in the clutch.
