Ospreys Split Spurs & Sand Open

Columbia, S.C.- The North Florida beach volleyball team picked up a 4-1 victory over Jacksonville on Saturday in the Spurs & Sand Open at the University of South Carolina. The host Gamecocks defeated the Ospreys to conclude the event.

BEACH BULLETS
- Taryn Griffey and Chaney Howard, paired at the No. 2 position, picked up a three-set win over the Dolphins. The duo picked up its fourth win of the season.
- Playing together for the first time this season, freshman Carolyn Cain and Casey Justice grabbed a two-set winner to secure the match for the Ospreys.
- The No. 4 and No. 5 pairs won the first two matches of the day to put the Ospreys in front of the Dolphins where they remained.
- UNF has now won each of its last seven meetings against Jacksonville and taken 17 of 19 overall meetings.
- In the second match of the day, the Gamecocks picked up straight set wins in each position to win on their home court.
