GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 1 Florida topped the North Florida baseball team, 8-3, on Wednesday night at McKethan Stadium.
LEADING OFF
- Raff Libunao and Wesley Weeks both extended their reached base streak to eight and lead the team.
- Weeks also has a hit in every game this season.
- Libunao went 2-for-4 with a run scored and recorded his fourth multi-hit game of the season.
- Out of the nine games played for UNF this season, there has only been one save.
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Tanner Murphy belted his third home run of the season to left center field on a 2-2 count for the first run of the game.
- On the first pitch in the bottom of the second inning, Jonathan India tied the game with a solo home run to right field.
- In the fourth inning, Max Law reached on a throwing error that allowed Chris Matthias to score for the Ospreys.
- The Gators tied the game on an RBI single from Shane Shifflett that brought home India.
- Florida captured the lead on six-straight hits, including three home runs in the fifth inning.
