JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Despite scoring the last three runs of the game, the North Florida baseball team fell to UConn, 5-4, on Friday night at Harmon Stadium.
LEADING OFF
- Mac Wilson extended his reached base streak to nine-straight games, while Raff Libunao had his streak halted at nine.
- Rey Gonzalez recorded his second multi-hit game of the season going 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, while Chris Berry went 2-for-4 and an RBI.
- P.J. Poulin's save was only the second save recorded in the Osprey's first 10 games on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- The Huskies started the scoring with four runs in the second inning to jump ahead early in the game.
- UNF cut into the lead when Gonzalez singled to center field that drove home Dalton Board from second in the third inning.
- UConn plated another run in the sixth when Chris Winkel scored on a wild pitch.
- In the seventh inning, Chris Berry doubled down the right field line on a 1-0 count that allowed Wilson to score from first base.
- Jay Prather ended the scoring in the eighth inning with a two-run home run to right field that brought in Gonzalez.
