JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida pitchers Morgan Blourne and Sydney Matzko combined to throw a no-hitter in game two against Canisius, while the Ospreys grabbed a 6-1 win in game one to sweep the Griffins in day one of the Courtyard Marriott UNF Invite.

Senior Amanda Blanchard fanned six batters with just six hits and no walks in the first game as she recorded her first win. The lone run was unearned. - For the day, freshman Makenzie Griffin when 3-for-4 with two RBI, while classmate Taylor Scott went 3-for-6 with two runs scored.
- Junior Navia Penrod tallied three hits and two RBI with a run scored.
- In game two, Blourne tossed five innings of hitless ball with five strikeouts and no walks. Matzko came in relief with two perfect innings with a strikeout.
GAME 1 CAPSULE
- North Florida got things started in the second inning as it loaded the bases on a walk, hit-by-pitch and a Griffin miscue.
- Griffin recorded an RBI on her sac fly to allow Ashley Niesman to come home for the 1-0 lead.
- In the top of the third, Canisius scored on an error on a sac bunt to tie the score, but the Ospreys came back with three runs in their side of the inning.
- It started with Penrod's single and stolen base. She moved to third on a sacrifice bunt that Canisius misplayed to put runners on the corners.
- On Kayla McGory's at bat, a short single allowed her to reach before Penrod got in a rundown from third to home. The Griffin catcher ran into her, allowing her to take first and keep runners on second and third.
- Dominica Cocuzza then stepped to the plate to belt a two-run double for the 4-1 advantage.
- Megan Woodson and Scott each had RBI singles in the fourth inning to put the Ospreys ahead 6-1 where they remained for the game.
- The Griffs threatened in the seventh with the bases loaded, but Matzko, pitching in relief got out of the jam to end the game.
GAME 2 CAPSULE
- The Ospreys scored their first run in the third when Scott hit a one-out single to right. She then advanced to second on a throwing error before coming around on Penrod's single.
- In the fifth, North Florida had three straight singles to push another run across for a 2-0 lead.
- A walk and a single from Alex Arciola put runners on the pond with one out. After a pitching change, Canisius got its second out, but it didn't matter as Griffin it a deep single top bring in Arciola for the 3-0 lead.
- Blourne's lone blemish was a hit-by-pitch and another runner reaching due to an Osprey miscue before Matzko sat the Griffins down in order for the final two frames.
- The no hitter was the first since February 2013.
