Men's Tennis Competes at Georgia Southern Championships

STATESBORO, Ga. - North Florida men's tennis concludes its fall slate with a trip to the Georgia Southern Championships and began with doubles on Thursday evening.

Originally scheduled for Friday, the doubles competition was moved up due to weather predicted in Statesboro on Thursday. Doubles begins at 6 p.m.

Jorge Nunez, Nilo Duarte, Joe Ellis and Charley Castaing will all take part in the tournament. The Ospreys will face off with the Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, USC Upstate, College of Charleston, SCAD and Florida Tech.

All matches will be played at the Wallis Tennis Center and the tournament draws will be released later this week. North Florida participated in the GSU Championships in 2016-17 where Sahil Deshmukh and former player Zach Goldberg took home the doubles championship. Deshmukh also finished as a runner-up in the singles consolation bracket.
