Doubles Advance to Quarterfinals; Melilo Wins in Consolation

ATLANTA - North Florida women's senior Rafaela Gomez and junior Constanza Gorches advanced to the doubles quarterfinals, but fell to Georgia on day two of the ITA Southeast Regionals at Georgia Tech. The Ospreys picked up wins in consolation singles as well.
Gomez and Gorches took down USF's Evelyne Tiron and Ana Dominguez, 8-6. They then battled against Georgia, but dropped the 8-5 match.
In consolation singles, Ana Paula Melilo defeated South Florida's Nicole Dzenga, 6-2, 6-4, while Lucia Montano came up with a victory against ASUN foe Lara Mehlsam (Kennesaw), 6-3, 6-3. Melilo advanced to the consolation quarterfinals with her victory against Mercer's Celine Schepers.
On Sunday, Melilo takes on Miami's Lucia Marzal at 11 a.m.
