Women's Tennis Finishes USC Invite

COLUMBIA, S.C. - North Florida women's tennis finished up its final day at the South Carolina Invite with two singles wins and a doubles victory against Middle Tennessee State.
The day opened with a doubles victory for freshman Eva Nyikos and sophomore Lucia Montano. The pair battled to a tight 7-6 (7-5) win against Maria Zehnder and Marta Herrero. MTSU took the other two wins on the day.
To close up singles action, freshman Florencia Rossi grabbed a 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 victory against James Madison's Michaela Kluska. Junior Rafaela Gomez also took home a 6-0, 6-4 win against MTSU's Luisa Zirilli.
North Florida now has a week off until it takes on Florida universities at the Bedford Cup hosted by USF beginning on Friday, Sept. 29.
