HOW IT HAPPENED
CONFER'S CORNER
"I am proud of the effort from the girls. We were a little bit sluggish in the first half and we challenged them at halftime. Every time we challenge this team at halftime, they have always responded and stepped up. I am really happy to see Emily and Bailey get time. They have both been through a lot so it was awesome for them. We had some players out today and we had a lot of players that stepped up. We have told them all season long that the ones who aren't playing - there will be a moment when you are going to have to step in and they did that today. It was great for Kelli who had to work hard on her fitness to even get on the field. Brandi comes off the bench and scores another goal for us. It has been a collective effort all season long. I'm really proud of the girls. We had a good non-conference run, but looking forward to next week our record is 0-0. That is what conference play is about, but I think we are ready and prepared and now just looking forward to conference play."
Â
NOTEABLES
- North Florida matches last season's win total and is just one victory from a record number under coach Robin Confer.
- Emily Kesterson and Bailey Stites both saw their first action in an Osprey uniform.
- Seven total Ospreys have now found the back of the net.

Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The opening frame saw the Ospreys control the ball for the most part as they had a 10-2 edge in shots, but could not land a goal.
- After the break, North Florida came out ready to go and the pressure paid off in the 46th minute when senior Sarah Wasser sent a perfect cross from the left side that found Crowley in the six-yard box. Crowley sent a header to the lower left keeper for what would be the game-winning goal - her second of her career.
- Late in the second, the Ospreys put pressure on the Citadel defense, and forced a turnover. Walker corralled a ball off a Bulldog defenders foot from inside the box and fired a shot past the keeper to the left side for the 2-0 lead.
- The Bulldogs took just four total shots including four on targe compared to 20 for the Ospreys.
- Redshirt freshman Rhiannon Conelley recorded her fourth shutout on the season to rank seventh in the UNF record book.
