HOW IT HAPPENED
- With nine minutes remaining in the first half, UNF goalie, Rhiannon Conelley, kept the game scoreless with back-to-back saves against Charleston Southern shots from point blank range.
-Â The Ospreys had a great opportunity to take the lead with 24 minutes left in the game when Katy Mixon was one-on-one with the CSU keeper. Alyssa Dellacqua made the diving save that kept the game knotted at 0-0.
- With less than two minutes to play in the game, Reiss was taken down inside the 18-yard box and awarded a penalty kick. The freshman stepped up and found the back of the net for her second goal of the season and the game winner.
CONFER'S CORNER
"It was a collective team effort today. We had to go deep into our bench and were able to get the win. We created some excellent chances in the attack today and the girls fought extremely hard. Rhiannon came up with a couple great saves at the end of the first half to keep the game tied. We are proud of the fight the girls showed and responded well after Friday's result." -- Head Coach Robin Confer
