The short story:Â The North Florida women's golf team opened up play Monday in their second consecutive NCAA Regional appearance carding a first round 305 (+17) at the UGA Golf Course in Athens, Ga. Senior Nathalie Nygren paced the Ospreys on the opening day, firing a 1-over 73 to rank tied for 16th.

- Senior Nathalie Nygren shot a 73 (+1) in the opening round matching her spring season best and marking her lowest round since an opening round 73 at the Spring Break Shootout on Mar. 13.
- The freshmen duo of Sydney Shrader and Sydney Merchant  posted rounds of 76 and 77, respectively, in their NCAA Tournament debuts
- Fellow senior Megan Wilshire carded a first round 79 with freshman Teresa Conroy rounding out the Osprey lineup with a tourney opening 80
- Michigan State was the lone team under-par on the day finishing at 284 (-4) // Wake Forest's Jennifer Kupcho paced the medalist play with a 4-under 68
