SAY WHAT...
"Shelton McLean finished out his senior year with a third place in the pole vault. He is a tough kid who has dealt with back pain much of the season that most guys would of hung it up with, but he trained lightly so he could stay healthy and was able to compete in the championship. He has meant a lot to our program during my time as head coach at UNF and we will miss him in the future.
"Fynn Timm dominated the steeplechase which he entered as the favorite and was able to handle the pressure of being the favorite.  He is an NCAA Regional qualifier and is in excellent shape so we are excited about the 1500m tomorrow and certainly the East Regional in a couple weeks. Bradley Langenberg has also made nice progress this outdoor season and showed some grit in hanging on for fourth place.Â
"Our 10k sweep was led by senior Brad Hort. The trio of Ospreys really worked well together with Hort pulling away for the win on the last lap. Brad has worked very hard this year, running hundreds of miles and it is nice to see that work pay off with an individual championship.  He doesn't shy away from work and earned that win tonight. I am very proud of him.  Freshmen Noah Perkins and Rob Leverone placed 2nd and 3rd for the sweep.  Both of them ran super races in their first career 10k events. They have worked hard this year building a great base which was evident in their runs tonight. The guys were patient and fed off of each other while running the 25-lap race.  I am very excited about the future of the 10K for the Ospreys." -- Head coach Jeff Pigg
