QUOTABLE
"Eden Meyer ran a 33:42 to take second in the prestigious Raleigh Relays.  Her time is a new UNF school record set in 1996 and previously held by a Hall of Fame runner. Her time ranks her 2nd in the NCAA currently and eclipsed her PR by nearly one minute. Grace Meyer ran a 36:36, which beat her lifetime best by over two minutes. I am so proud of the girls efforts in the 10K  We knew they are in great shape and just needed good weather and competition.  What a fantastic race for Eden.  It is great to see their work and dedication reward them with such great performances on the track.
We had several highlights on our home track as well including Audrey Carpenter winning the 3000m Steeplechase.  She is running well now and it was good to see her get a win. Alyssa Young won the high jump with another very good jump of 1.70m. Her consistency shows she is in great shape and ready for an even bigger jump in the near future. She looked very good today. Tianna Hearn had a very strong day with a 14.72 in the 100m hurdles and followed it up with an outstanding school record performance in the 400m Hurdles of 1:00.97, breaking Briana Frazier's school record.  That was a fantastic race for her.  She works hard and believes in what she is doing.  She is on a mission to keep running  faster. Vanessa Philbert won the 800m in 2:11.61 followed closely by Skye Zeller in 2:12.64 finishing 5th while Morgan Rodriguez ran a very strong PR of 2:13. The 800 girls ran well, and it was good to see Vanessa win in one of her final home college races." -- Head coach Jeff Pigg
