The short story: The North Florida men's golf team finished day one play Monday at the Sea Best Invitational at TPC Sawgrass (Dye Valley Course) in sixth place following rounds of 282-283 for a 5-over total of 565. Travis Trace ended the day tied for 7th at 2-under (138) and led a trio of Ospreys among the Top 25 individuals.Â

FIRST TEE
- Trace was the lone UNF golfer to card a pair of under-par rounds on Monday firing back-to-back scores of 1-under 69.
- Philip Knowles is tied for 23rd (143) after making a nine shot improvement from his morning to afternoon rounds. Knowles' closing round 67 matched his career low.
- Osten Waite also concluded the day among the top players ranking tied for 25th (144) highlighted by a career low matching second round even-par 70.
- Andrew Alligood shared team honors in round one firing a 1-under 69 while Dillon Woods shot his best round of the day in the morning with an even-par 70.
- Freshman Michael Mattiace, playing as an individual, posted his career best round of 72 ( 2) in the second round.
