The short story:Â The North Florida men's golf team posted an opening round 291 on Friday in the team's annual home event, The Hayt, held at Sawgrass Country Club. Sophomore Andrew Alligood carded a 2-under 70 to lead the Osprey lineup on day one.

- With his round of 70, Alligood is tied for fifth in the medalist competition, just one shot behind a quartet of players at 3-under 69
- Fellow sophomores Philip Knowles and Travis Trace also finished the day listed among the Top 25, as both golfers posted rounds of 1-over 73
- Osten Waite (75) and Dillon Woods (76) rounded out the Osprey lineup
- A pair of UNF golfers are competing in the event as individuals with Jack Comstock shooting a 77 (T53rd) and Michael Mattiace finishing with an 81 (T74th).
