The short story:Â The North Florida men's golf team climbed to the top of the leaderboard in their home event, The Hayt, following a second round 2-under par 286 on Saturday at Sawgrass Country Club. Sophomore Philip Knowles matched a career low with a 5-under 67 to lead the Osprey charge.

FIRST TEE
- All five Ospreys in the lineup shot rounds of 74 (+2) or better in Saturday's round
- Knowles played the front nine in 4-under with 4 birdies and no bogeys and was as low as 6-under thru 14 before a back-to-back bogeys slowed his momentum. He birdied 17 and then had a great par save on the 18th to record the third 67 of his collegiate career
- Andrew Alligood, UNF's first round leader, followed his opening round 70 with a 1-over 73 to join Knowles in the Top 10, ranking tied for 7th heading into the final round
- Senior Osten Waite carded an even par 72 highlighted by six birdies
- Travis Trace and Dillon Woods both posted rounds of 74 to complete the UNF lineup scoring
- Freshman Michael Mattiace, playing as an individual, lowered his total by 10 shots on Saturday and shooting his first collegiate round under par with a 1-under 71
