The short story:Â The North Florida women's golf team carded rounds of 302-301 Monday in opening day action at the Amelia Island Collegiate hosted by Jacksonville University at Amelia National Golf Club. Senior Megan Wilshire led the way with a 36-hole total of 149, good enough for a tie for 18th place.Â

FIRST TEE
- Wilshire carded the best opening round for the Ospreys shooting a 1-over 73 and was the lone UNF linkster in the Top 20 after day one play. It marked the lowest round of the season for Wilshire
- Courtney Cobb had the squad's best round of the day and in the afternoon session, shooting a collegiate career best even-par 72
- Nathalie Nygren and Teresa Conroy posted mirror rounds to each other as Nygren opened with a 74 followed by a 79 while Conroy started with a 79 before trimming five shots of her total in round two with a 74Â
- Sydney Shrader rounded out the Osprey lineup in a tie for 58th (156)
- Ospreys ended the day in a three-way tie for 6th with Kennesaw State and Winthrop... The trio trails tournament leader Mercer by 20 strokes
