GAME CAPSULE
First Half Trends
- The Owls raced out of the gates scoring the games first 10 points.
- Davenport got the Ospreys on the board with a layup at the 15:08 mark, but KSU followed with the next 13 points to build a 23-2 advantage with 10:21 showing on the clock.
- Kennesaw kept the pressure on taking their largest lead of the night, 30-7, with nine minutes left to play in the period
- With about 6 minutes to go, North Florida used a 16-2 run of their own to trim the deficit to 8 points (36-28)... Moore and Davenport opened the run with back-to-back treys followed by a layup from Davenport and a pair of FTs by Garrett Sams. An old-fashioned three-point play for Davenport and a corner trey by Aaron Horne capped the Osprey scoring run.

- A frenetic stretch of play appeared to feed an Osprey rally, but after cutting margin to six at 68-62 with 5:16 remaining a 9-0 spurt for the Owls seized the momentum. KSU closed the game on a 17-6 run to earn the double-digit win.

SAY WHAT...
"It was very disappointing to see us start so slowly. I don't know why it happened but we have to look at things and figure out how to not allow it to happen again. Give Kennesaw credit for playing hard and making the plays they needed to make. It was glad to see the guys continue to compete and make a comeback but I never thought we ever found a comfort on the floor. We have to continue to work and stay focused for Thursday's game versus JU because we are still playing for a chance to host an ASUN Tournament game."Â -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
NEXT UP
