The Short Story: The North Florida women's track and field team posted several outstanding performances Friday at the Samford Invitational. Junior Eden Meyer topped the list with her meet record setting run in the 3000m.Â

THE FINISH LINE
- Eden Myer dominated the field in the 3000m running a PR time of 9:31.16, which also set a new Crossplex Facility meet record for the event. Her time also marks the ASUN's fastest time of the year. In the same race, Grace Meyer and Audrey Carpenter also established new personal bests.
- Senior sprinter Tianna Hearn also had a solid day posting a school record PR in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.96 in her qualifying heat, followed by an 8.97 in the finals. She also recorded a PR in the 400m with a time of 58.59.

- Alyssa Young had a solid performance in the high jump earning a tie for 5th with a mark of 1.67m (5-5.75)

"It was a really good day for our women's team. Eden Meyer had an impressive run in the 3000m. Tianna Hearn had a good day in both her events and we had some solid performances in the 800m and Mile. Alyssa Young continued to perform consistently in the high jump. We now turn our focus to the conference championship meet in a couple weeks." -- Head coach Jeff Pigg.
