Men's Track Boasts Several Event Titles at Camel City Invitational

The Short Story:Â The North Florida men's track and field team grabbed three event titles and saw several personal records set on Friday in the Camel City Invitational held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

THE FINISH LINE
- Seniors Brad Hort and Michael Damato claimed the top two spots in the 5000m after both runners clocked PRs in the event... Hort ran a 14:45.15 (the fastest time in the ASUN this season) followed by Damato in 14:57.64 (nearly 15 seconds faster than his previous best)
- Tyler Stahl finished fourth in the 3000m after running a personal best time of 8:20.40, a 14-second improvement

ON THE FIELD
- Junior Bobby Harris continued his strong performances in the high jump earning the event crown with a jump of 2.11m (6-11.0)
- Shelton McLean, who is redshirting this season at UNF and competed unattached, won the pole vault title by matching his personal best with a mark of 4.70m (15-05.00)
NOTE: Junior Nick Morken will compete in the Camel City Invitational Elite Mile Saturday at 3:50 p.m. against several professional runners and a group of the top regional milers.
