JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball begins Atlantic Sun play at No. 9 Stetson on Wednesday at Cooper Beach Volleyball Courts.
UNF is currently riding a nine-game winning streak entering conference action and most recently went 4-0 at the Carolina Classic. The Ospreys are lead by the No. 4 pair of senior Ambre Desaulnay and freshman Chaney Howard who lead the team with a 9-0 mark. Courtney Miller and Katarina Raicevic are riding a seven-match win streak and are 8-3 on the season at the No. 3 spot. Carina Hoff and Shannon McPherson paired up this week and are now 5-0 with four wins in the No. 5 match.Â
The Hatters are currently 13-1 on the year with their wins leading the nation. Stetson began conference action and swept Jacksonville and FGCU. Sara Putt and Vendy Strakova are 14-0 in the No. 1 position, while Kristin Lind and Rachel Noble own a 13-1 mark at the No. 2 spot. As a team, the Hatters are 62-8. Lind and Noble's lone loss came against then-No. 10 Georgia State. Both Kaylee Anderson and Emily Carroll along with Madison Akins and Lauren Durham have 12 wins each in the No. 3 and 4 spots, respectively.
North Florida holds a slight 7-6 edge against the Hatters, but Stetson has won the last five straight against UNF. The Ospreys last won in 2014 with back-to-back 3-2 wins in conference play.Â
After their trip to DeLand, the Ospreys head to Fort Myers to face FGCU and Mercer.
