COLUMBIA, S.C. - North Florida beach volleyball swept the second day of the Carolina Classic with 4-1 wins against FAU and South Carolina on Sunday to extend the Ospreys' winning streak to nine matches.

The Ospreys are now 9-2 on the season heading into conference action against Stetson on Wednesday. Stetson is currently ranked No. 9 in the AVCA Collegiate Beach coaches poll and own an 13-1 mark on the year and opened A-Sun play with a 4-0 mark.

North Florida started the day against a familiar foe in FAU as the Ospreys split with the Owls at the Burrow Beach Bash to open the season. This time around, UNF grabbed wins at No. 2-5 courts to move to 2-1 against FAU on the year. In the afternoon match, UNF defeated host South Carolina with wins in all but the No. 2 spot.

At the No. 3 court, Courtney Miller and Katarina Raicevic extended their winning streak to seven matches, while Ambre Desaulnay and Chaney Howard have now won nine straight in the No. 4 spot. Carina Hoff and Shannon McPherson paired up at the No. 5 position and are now 5-0 together. After dropping the second set in both matches today, the duo battled to get the third set win and secure the points for UNF.

After losing their first set against South Carolina, Megan Crawshaw and Jessalyn Kinlaw responded in the second set to push to a 23-21 win and force a third. The duo then recorded their sixth win of the season as they took the third frame, 15-10.

North Florida looks to get into the win column against the Hatters as Stetson has won the last four matches against the Ospreys. First serve is set for 2 p.m. in DeLand.
