She added an assist, and scored two goals just 3:06 apart to start the second half.. She had a part in four of the six Osprey goals this weekend is now tied for the team lead in goals (5) and is second with 11 points.
Â
After a scoreless first half, Mixon and the Ospreys came out of the halftime break and erupted for two goals in the first 4:39. The two-goal advantage did not hold up, in fact wasn't enough to contain the Upstate scoring attack. The Spartans rattled off three-straight goals and ultimately took a 3-2 lead in the 83rd minute.
Â
Sophomore Krista Colubiale tied the game for the second time in the half, with a header goal just 1:28 after the USC Upstate go-ahead score. The two teams remained scoreless for the final 6:03 of regulation, to force overtime.
Â
That set the stage for Wasser who took a Mackenzie Meisler throw in 30 yards away from the goal, turned and fired a rocket into the upper right 90 for the game-winner. The goal was Wasser's third of the season and second in the last three games. It was the second game-winner of her career. Â

From Coach Confer
On the win
"This was a gutsy performance by our team today. To be up two goals and then down a goal with eight minutes to play in the crucial ASUN match is the epitome of adversity. Much like Friday (against NJIT), the girls responded and found a way to get a result. This group continues to fight and I'm proud of their effort and heart this weekend."
Â
On the standout performers
"Katy Mixon had a fantastic weekend for us and had a part in all but one goal which is incredible. I was happy that Sarah got the game-winner, she had one of her best games of the season and worked hard on both sides of the ball." Â
Â
Up Next: The Ospreys will play their final road game of the regular season next Saturday when they visit Stetson for a 7:00 p.m. match.
