LakePoint, Ga. - North Florida's Eden Meyer and Barbara Lee Ball of Lipscomb have been named ASUN Conference Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week.Â
The distinction is the third of Ball's career, while Meyer receives the award for the third time this season. This week's honors mark just the third time in ASUN history that two women's runners have shared Runner of the Week Honors and first time since 2013.Â
Eden Meyer's 17:24.98 5K would be enough to earn her first place at the USF Invitational Friday and helped push the Ospreys to their first team win of the season. Meyer has been the top runner for North Florida in all three of their 2016 meets and the last 13 events the Ospreys have participated in going back to 2014. As a junior, Meyer has now won ASUN Runner of the Week four times in her career and has earned the distinction every week that UNF has ran this season.Â
Friday's events marked the end of the regular season for the ASUN Conference, with Ball and Meyer's next meet coming October 29th at the ASUN Championship in Spartanburg, S.C.

"Eden continues to perform at a very high level and its been exciting watching her progress this season. The race at USF was a little warm and she did an excellent job running under control. She seems to be rounding into shape nicely as we head into the ASUN Championships next weekend at Upstate." -- Head coach Jeff Pigg
