
Men's Golf Slips to 5th After 2nd Round at Tavistock Collegiate Invitational

WINDERMERE, Fla. -- North Florida junior Dillon Woods carded his best round of the season on Monday leading the No.74-ranked Ospreys to a team total of 291 in the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational at Isleworth Country Club.
Woods fired a 3-under 69 in the second round and jumped into a tie for seventh in the medalist standings with a 36-hole tally of 142 (-2). Sophomore Andrew Alligood continues to be the squad's individual leader following his second round even-par 72 puts him in sixth place with a 4-under total of 140.
Senior Osten Waite and sophomore Travis Trace each carded rounds of 75 in the second round while sophmore Philip Knowles posted a 76 to round out the Osprey lineup. Waite is currently tied for 31st (147) with Trace tied for 37th (148) and Knowles tied for 41st (149).

UNF entered the second round tied for third but slipped into fifth place on the leaderboard after shooting a 3-over round on Monday. Despite the slip in the standings, the Ospreys head into the final round in close proximity with several top ranked squads. No. 7 Florida leads the event with a two-day total of 560 followed by No. 3 Vanderbilt (569), No. 31 Purdue (573) and No. 9 North Carolina (574) just ahead of North Florida.
Tournament action at the prestigious Tavistock Collegiate concludes with Tuesday's final round on the par 72, 7.544-yard layout. North Florida gets started on the last day at 8:50 a.m. alongside Texas Tech and North Carolina. Live scoring results are availabele online at Golfstat.com.
