Meet The Team: Kadesia Johnson

What made you choose UNF?
I wanted to stay close to home and I loved the family atmosphere that's here.

What's your major and what do you hope to do in the future?
I'm majoring in criminal justice and I want to be part of the Miami Police Department.

What is something that most people would not know about you?
I can cook really well, especially Chicken Parmesan. I learned how to cook from being in the kitchen with my mom.

Is there something that you want to learn how to cook?
I want to try to cook crabs sometime. That's something I haven't tried yet.

How old were you when you started playing basketball?
I was about seven when I started playing. It has taken me to different places, put me through school and allowed me to meet some great people along the way.

Have you traveled anywhere interesting?
I got to travel to Canada in eighth grade. My school had a basketball exchange program with a school up there. It was really cool and different from the U.S. I can remember these ketchup-flavored chips – they were so good!

If someone was to visit your hometown of Kissimmee, Florida, where would you take them?
We would go to Boola because they make ice cream in front of you with tons of different flavors.
